Initiated by the Western Region Development Council, the Scholarship Scheme provides the Western Region High School talented students with better opportunities for higher education. The scheme is in alignment with WRDC key objectives to build and optimize the young talents in order to make the Western Region an example to be modeled at in sustainable socio-economic development. To this end, WRDC has set excellence standards in several areas including local community development, infrastructure enhancement and institution improvement.

Based on our belief in the ultimate significance of education and its basic role in, we have initiated this scheme to enhance WR young people’s level of understanding and productivity through the acquisition of diversified knowledge and expertise. Since the citizens are the main theme of development, we hope that the Scholarship Scheme would enable the talented students to hold vital and high rank positions leading to the improvement of the citizens’ living standards.
